This course is for people training to work in hotels, restaurants, travel agencies, tourist information centers, and airports, in any job where basic communicative compretence in English is essential. It is designed for false beginners: people who have studyied some English, but who need to improve their communication skills.
Each of the 15 units explores a different communicative area, such as anwsering the telephone or giving information to customers, and introduces and gives practice in the grammatical structures and vocabulary that the student will need in order to communicative effectively. Each unit also offers pronunciation practice.
The emphasis is on developing listening and speaking skills, but there is also practice in reading and writing where necessary.
